James Hambro & Partners Appoints Four Partners

James Hambro & Partners, part of J O Hambro Capital Management, has named four partners, including the appointments of Tim Boughton and Nicola Barber, and the promotion of Charles Underwood and Penny Kunzig. Boughton, formerly of Barclays Wealth since 2008, starts as partner for business development. At Barclays, he worked with high and ultra high net worth clients and charities. He was also responsible for developing relationships with key intermediaries, the firm said in a statement. Meanwhile, Barber joins the firm’s asset allocation committee, as well as being tasked with managing portfolios for charities and private clients. Barber started her career at Rothschilds in 1987 as an institutional portfolio manager and equity analyst. She then joined Baring Asset Management as a director, responsible for managing charity and private client portfolios, subsequently transferring to Société Générale Hambros as part of a corporate transaction. Underwood, who has been a portfolio manager with James Hambro since its inception, previously worked at J O Hambro Investment Management. He is responsible for a number of private client portfolios in addition to overall responsibility for the analysis and selection of collective investments. Kunzig assumes responsibility for client service and administration. She joined James Hambro following 14 years at its investment management division, where she held a number of roles and was most recently head of client administration.
